Board Certified Behavior Analyst 15490 (Morgantown, WV)

The West Virginia University is seeking applications for a full-time (37.5hpw), benefits eligible, Board Certified Behavior Analyst for the WVU Center for Excellence in Disabilities located in Morgantown, WV. This position will serve as the coordinator for the Behavior and Learning Intervention Services (BLIS) Clinic. The CED is looking for an applicant who is interested in developing a sustainable behavior-analytic practice alongside other individuals who have a passion for serving individuals with disabilities. Job responsibilities may include: providing or supervising 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy to diverse clientele in a variety of settings, supervising undergraduate and graduate students, conducting parent trainings, and conducting staff trainings. The CED is a multidisciplinary center that provides services to individuals with disabilities located in Morgantown, WV. Working at the CED allows for access to many resources through WVU and the center (e.g., other health professionals, an office space, clinic space, sensory room, and telehealth spaces).

The West Virginia University Research Corporation is seeking applications for a full-time (40hpw), benefits eligible, Community Support Specialist for the WVU Center for Excellence in Disabilities located in Charleston, WV. This position will provide support for the Mentoring & Oversight for Developing Independence with Foster Youth (MODIFY) Program and provide follow up services to youth in transition from foster care to adult independence. The primary emphasis is the coordination of services to youth exiting foster care. Service coordination provided to this group of young adults will ensure that system linkages are in place for supporting these youth in the life domains of housing, employment, education, finance, physical/mental health, family and socialization. The goal of these services is to promote self-sufficiency and a successful transition to independence for former foster care youth.

The purpose of this position is to provide work incentives planning and assistance to beneficiaries with disabilities and their families, who are potentially eligible to participate in Federal or State work incentives programs designed to assist disabled beneficiaries to work. This position will conduct outreach efforts and work in cooperation with Federal, State and private agencies and nonprofit organizations. Also provide information on: the adequacy of health benefits coverage that may be offered by an employer of a beneficiary with a disability; the extent to which other health benefits coverage may be available to that beneficiary; and the availability of protection and advocacy services for beneficiaries with disabilities, and how to access services. This position will serve as a resource contact and will independently use professional concepts and techniques, as well as organizational policies to solve a wide range of moderate to complex problems in imaginative and practical ways. Depth skills, knowledge, and interpretive abilities, as well as some creativity, are required to successfully perform duties.

Behavior Support Mentor (Morgantown, WV)

The West Virginia University Research Corporation is seeking applications for a full-time (40hpw), benefits eligible, Behavior Support Mentor for the WVU Center for Excellence in Disabilities located in Morgantown, WV. The purpose of this position is to 1) consult and train agencies to establish and sustain system-wide PBS (i.e., three-tiered model of PBS) in order to decrease challenging behaviors and improve quality of life and 2) provide individual case consultation to individuals with challenging behaviors. This individual will work with the Positive Behavior Support (PBS) team to support agencies in implementing system-wide PBS by facilitating meetings, developing and conducting trainings, and coaching staff in the implementation of PBS. In addition, they will work with children with serious emotional distress, individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injury, and complex support needs and their families to develop positive behavior support plans.
